Editorial Policy
Our aim is for every page to be accurate, useful and easy to understand. These are the rules we follow.
Who writes our content
Guides are written and reviewed by Editorial Team. Our editors track precious-metal markets every trading day and review every guide before publication. Every guide shows the date it was last updated.
Sources
We prefer primary sources: the LBMA and regulated exchanges for prices, the World Gold Council for supply and demand data, central banks and tax authorities for rules and taxes, and assay offices for purity standards. Where a rule differs by country we say so and recommend confirming with the local authority.
Review and updates
Before publishing we check figures, formulas and links. Guides are reviewed at least once a year and whenever a relevant rule changes. Price figures on our pages are calculated live, never typed by hand.
Use of tools
We may use software tools, including AI writing and translation assistants, to prepare drafts or other-language versions. No page is published without review by a member of the editorial team, who is responsible for its accuracy.
Independence
The site is funded by Google AdSense advertising. Advertisers cannot review or approve content, and we do not accept payment to mention shops, products or services. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly labelled.
Corrections
When an error changes the meaning of a page, we fix it and update the date. Tell us at contact@goldrateshub.com.
