We take the live spot price of 4,071.00 USD per troy ounce, divide it by 31.1035 to get 130.89 USD per gram of pure gold, and multiply by today’s exchange rate of 0,8905 EUR per dollar. That gives 116,55 EUR per gram for 24K. Lower karats are priced by their gold content.
In Spain, jewelry is almost always 18K (hallmarked 750). Investment gold is VAT-exempt under EU rules, while jewelry carries standard VAT. "Compro oro" shops pay below the spot price.
